The unique Christmas markets of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. Europe’s Christmas markets are winter wonderlands waiting to be explored — sometimes, more than a hundred booths are set up in the town square. With the smell of gluhwein (mulled wine) and gingerbread in the air and the sight of Christmas lights twinkling and reflecting off tree ornaments, which create a kaleidoscope of colors, it’s easy to lose yourself.
